Since 1997 my husband Bruno is active in dog sled racing. Because we owned only one dog at this time, we were dependent on the sled dogs of friends.

Bruno entered the first race with our male, Aivik<and, the bitch, Raissa. But quickly Bruno wanted a 4-dog team, so we have trained with more dogs of colleagues. Unfortunately, the Samoyed teams were often out-paced in the races--hard for us to understand as it was always a joy to see how much enjoyment our wonderful dogs had in the competition.

Because the snow season here is rather short, we also participate in races with the training-cart or training-bicycle. Occasionally, we also train them when we go for long excursions.

We celebrated a nice success in the Swiss Championship 2005 in Sils / Maloja.

Bruno participated in the 2 Samoyed race in the D2 Swiss-master category, and we are very proud of our two fine athletes.

The next big success was at the World Championship in Frauenwald. Bruno and his team had the 4th place there.
